It’s no secret that the COVID pandemic has forced thousands of brides and grooms to change wedding plans. My heart goes out to all those couples whose plans were forced to change. Some have postponed in hopes of regulations being lifted, while others have opted for smaller intimate weddings on the original planned dates.

James and Alieca are no exception. The original plan was to have their wedding in August, but plans changed and forced them to change to a date that I was unable to attend. I was sorry that I would miss their big day, but that’s the current situation of our times. That is until Alieca contacted me, asking about doing a separate session!

I am thrilled that Alieca decided to still have me take some bridal portraits! And I have to give her props for getting James to agree. (I don’t know many guys who willingly get all dressed up for a second time just for some pictures!) They looked amazing! Alieca makes for a stunning bride, and I’m still a little sad I didn’t get to see her on her big day, although I heard it was a hot one!

I did my best to recreate images that James & Alieca would have gotten. We were able to meet at their actual wedding location. It’s a beautiful property that is owned by family of theirs. The barn, and open yard made for great scenery, and we caught some amazing glowy light!

James + Alieca: I know times are weird, but I’m so glad we found a way to capture some memories for you. You guys are blast to be around. I hope you love your images just as much as I do!
