Senior Photos with Horses in Oconto, WI — Madison’s Session

If you’re looking for senior photos with horses in Northeast Wisconsin, this session is going to be everything. Madison’s senior photos in Oconto, WI were shot on her family’s property, and when your best friend’s daughter has Peruvian horses and a gorgeous piece of land, you don’t pass that up.

The Horses. Beautiful, Majestic, and Chaotic

Maddy and her sister both compete with their Peruvian horses, so incorporating them into her senior photos was always part of the plan. And they were stunning. Until they decided they had better things to do. Getting horses to cooperate for photos is truly one of life’s great challenges, and we laughed through every single second of it. Between the horses doing their own thing and Maddy’s dogs running loose in the background. (one of which ended up in the background of a shot doing something I had to edit out.) It was one of the most entertaining sessions I’ve ever had.

Those are the sessions I remember forever.

A Session That Felt Like Her

Beyond the horses, Maddy’s session was all about capturing who she is right now, a senior who knows exactly where she’s headed. Next year she plans to attend culinary school, and it makes complete sense. Her family owns a local golf club with a grill, and Maddy has spent plenty of time in that kitchen.

Planning Senior Photos on a Private Property

One of my favorite things about sessions like this is the variety a private property gives you. We had pastures, open fields, wooded areas, and the barn — all within walking distance. No permits, no crowds, just us and the horses (and the dogs). If you have a property, a barn, or a family farm and want to incorporate it into your senior photos, I am absolutely here for it.
