Winter Engagement Session | Lena, WI
I typically don’t get excited when I see “winter storm warnings” for the same weekend that a photo shoot is scheduled, but this is what Hilary was waiting for! She was looking for a snowy engagement session, so last weekend, when the warnings came out, I was excited!
I met Hilary at work. We both work for county government, but not in the same department, so I don’t actually see her very often. However, the times I do see her, she’s always in great spirits. She’s always calm, cheerful, and so laid-back; the exact type of bride that I love working with.
As the session got closer, I was excited to meet Hillary’s future husband. I mean if shes this great, he has to be pretty cool too. Right? Turns out, I’ve already met Justin! Just call that small town living. The truth is, I only had met Justin a few times before. I worked with both his parents at a local restaurant. In fact, Justin’s dad was my main trainer when I learned how to tend bar. The memories I have of Paul and Patty are endless and they often talked about their kids, and grand daughter, so I heard many stories about Justin before I had ever even met him! All good of course. 🙂
It was so great to see Hilary and Justin interacting during their engagement session. Their personalities seemed to just mesh together and made for such an easy going session! It was obvious that Hilary was excited for pictures and Justin was willing to do every pose we asked, even letting Hilary jump onto his back.
I also have to note how awesome these two handled this session! Winter sessions can be so tough. I watched these two push through the cold, and the deep, fresh snow which let us capture some beautiful photos!
I had such a great time working with these two and absolutely can not wait until their wedding later this year! The fun is just beginning!
Justin’s daughter even got to jump in for a few pictures!
Beautiful engagement and wedding pictures. Addyson
