One of my favorite things about weddings is actually seeing how people act and which emotions shine through. I especially love watching the grooms throughout the day. Everyone always expects the brides to be excited. They expect the brides to cry, laugh, or be nervous. But what about the guys?

Sure, some brides envision their groom shedding tears as she walks down the aisle, but in reality, that honestly rarely actually happens. This doesn’t mean that the groom isn’t feeling all the same feelings as the bride. He just typically shows it in other ways.

Case in point…Justin. The first time I met with Justin on the wedding day, was while he and his groomsmen were at a local hang out just relaxing before heading over to the ceremony. Justin was calm and seemed relaxed. But, when I took him outside by himself to take some groom photos, I could see it. The nerves were there, right along with the excitement. I watched him smile nervously as we talked and he fumbled just a bit as I had him unbutton and button back up his jacket for a few pictures. It made me smile, knowing that this day was just as important and exciting as it was for Hilary. My brides may not always know if their groom is excited, but I see it, and I promise you, he is!

I can not thank Justin and Hilary enough for including me on their wedding day. The love that was felt from everyone was truly beautiful, even the rain couldn’t dampen the day. I wish you both the very best on your future together!
