Has anyone else’s dog ever ended up in someone else’s family photography session? Well my yellow lab, Milo, had no problem jumping in on Jake and Crystal’s family session. Typically, Milo wouldn’t end up at a session with me, however Jake and Crystal are good friends of ours, so both Ben and Milo hung out during our shooting time. Milo is actually so much a part of Jake and Crystal’s family that he is lovingly referred to as their god-dog, so it was kind of fitting for them to have at least one shot with him.

After a couple shots, with Milo included, Ben became in charge of keeping him out of my camera’s view. We shot this family session in Jake and Crystal’s front yard. They have a beautiful wooded property, that makes their house seem very private and secluded. This created the perfect backdrop for this outdoor family. We had a great time together, even though Jake is pretty well known for his dislike for having pictures taken.

I worked hard to make the session go quick for Jake, and besides, we all know everyone would rather see pictures of their cute little boy, Oliver, instead. Oliver is one of the most easy-going kids I’ve met. He is always smiling and laughing. Pretty much a photographers dream. I had a blast catching his personality through my camera.

This session had a bonus, in that it doubled as a pregnancy announcement! little Oliver is going to become a big brother, and I couldn’t be more excited for our friends. Congratulations Jake & Crystal! I can’t wait to watch your family grow!
