When I first talked to Gracie about her Senior Session, she said she wanted to do something different, but wasn’t quite sure what exactly. I thought about it and realized I had quite a few smoke tubes left over from a “death to my 30’s” styled shoot I had done over the summer. So we picked a location that would be less crowded and decided to give the smoke a whirl.
Gracie is kind, and sweet, with such natural beauty, and the easiest personality to work with. We met up at Copper Culture Park in Oconto. Gracie showed up in a gorgeous gold dress, which we later used to find out that this colored smoke we were using, does in fact stain skin and fabric when its too close… But all is ok, and I’ll take that as a learning moment for my future session.
Aside from the stains, gave some fun effects for the first half of Gracie’s images. It was a fun time for me as well, getting to stretch my creative brain a little more and learning more techniques when working with smoke. After playing around a little, Gracie changed into a cozier outfit where we caught the last rays of the golden hour sunshine.
I had an absolute blast working with Gracie and talking to her about all her plans. She is an absolute doll with the sweetest personality. I can’t wait to see what her future brings, I know it’s a bright one.
