July weddings always scare me. Not like I get nervous and don’t know what to do, but more like, should I try to do something cute with my hair or just put it in a ponytail now followed by an extra can of spray deodorant in my personal bag. I just never know if it’s going to be enjoyable sunshine or the hot and sticky that makes all the groomsmen crabby.
Chad and Danielle lucked out with the perfect sunny day! The wedding took place at the beautiful Thornberry Creek at Oneida. Seriously, if you haven’t checked this place out, do it. The reception area was gorgeous and every part of the wedding was done on site, from getting ready, to the ceremony, and reception. It makes for an easy day!
Before the ceremony we were able to do two first looks! First we did a father daughter but this was with the groom and his three daughters. Once the hugs and smiles were done, the three girls stepped back and watched the second first look between their dad and his new bride. Smiles and just a few tears were all shared, and the first family photos were snapped with everyone.
The entire day was a whirlwind of laughs and smiles. We followed the outdoor ceremony with some bride and groom portraits out on the golf course. We proceeded to dinner after which guests were treated to an amazing ice cream sandwich bar! (Probably one of the best desserts I’ve seen!)
As the night went on, guests continued to party on the dance floor and I was able to sneak Chad and Danielle outside for a couple quick snaps of their own private dance. It was a great way to get those last few intimate images before their day came to an end.
Enjoy some of my favorites from the day, and a very big Congratulations to Chad & Danielle!
