Some weddings are massive with every single detail planned out, a huge bridal party and 200 guests. And others are intimate and sweet, and straight to the point. All of them are beautiful and represent the couple getting married.
I met Andrew and Katie back in 2020 when Katie reached out for some family and engagement photos. Fast forward two years later when she reached out again to ask if I could snap some pictures of their intimate ceremony. Of course I was excited to connect with them again. The first time I had so much fun and their daughter kept me laughing through the entire session. I knew this session would be even more special.
I met Andrew and Katie at the Brown County Courthouse with just a few of their close family members. To some, a courthouse wedding is strange, but to me, it is just a beautiful as the traditional weddings. These smaller, intimate weddings bring you back to what a wedding day is all about. While many couples love a large wedding, some have them simply to make their families happy. And I’m an advocate for creating a wedding day that you dream of, not one your family dreams of. Plus these smaller weddings typically end up more laid back and give me a larger opportunity to really spend time with my couple!
This ceremony was short and sweet and filled with love. After the “I Do’s” were said, we snuck outside for some family pictures and continued on with bride & groom portraits. And sweet McKenna was a ham for the camera, so I was able to capture some great smiles from them all.
Congratulations Andrew and Katie! I’m so happy that I was able to capture some memories from your day!
