After a rainy weekend, I was a little worried that the overcast weather would still be hanging around on Sunday night. But then, the cloud’s parted ways and the sun came out, all just in time for Alyssa’s Senior session! We chose to meet up in downtown Menominee where we spent the next 90 minutes exploring the streets. Alyssa’s mom and best friend tagged along with us and even jumped in for a few pictures!
Alyssa is one of the sweetest girls I’ve gotten to meet. She’s seems all quite and such, but my gosh, in front of the camera, she is one of my favorites to photograph! Alyssa and her best friend Maycie have actually made amazing models for me in the past.
I absolutely strive to give my clients a variety when it comes to their sessions. With Alyssa, it was so easy to pose her and she was game for anything I came up with, even if it meant sitting in the middle of the street. Don’t worry, we had look outs! We walked along the marina to get images by the bay, then went down Main Street by the historic buildings and back alleys. Of course, I’m also looking for more natural areas. As Maycie pointed out “Ashley likes the tall grass.” HA! And yes, I found us some tall grass, and beautiful glowy light. This way Alyssa got some awesome urban style photos mixed right up with some that look more natural.
The night ended by the beach with our toes in the water and some beautiful blue and purple skies. I have so many favorites from Alyssa’s session. Alyssa, I hope you have a beautiful senior year. I am sure that you and Maycie will make some crazy memories during this time, and I can’t wait to see how you grow!
