“OMG, I love your photos. What filter do you use?” Umm I don’t. HA this is not a rant post, but I just want to say one thing. Editing is just as much a part of the photographers skill as shooting the images. Every photographer spends a lot of time perfecting their editing skills. Some do extensive editing and photoshoping, while others stay on the lighter side with just minor retouching. So no, most photographers are not just slapping on a filter and calling it good.

When it comes to editing, my goal is to get my images as close as I can in camera to what I want the final image to look like. This makes my editing go quicker and I can get my gallery sent off to the client super quick. Often times though, I’m shooting quick and my surrounding things, like light, can change in a snap. So some days, I have to spend more time at my computer.

One of my favorite things to do during this post-processing time is to look at my before and afters! Sometimes it’s minor and sometimes its crazy! So I just wanted share some of my favorite edits! Enjoy.
